You
Every Day
The traffic lights stood firm at red
And rushing chariots rumbled at the line,
The steaming tyres hot from work
Moving French red rose wine.

In particular giant cation
Hauling tank of stainless steel,
Resting wide on balloon-like Michelins
Cushioning outfit on even keel.

As danger signals change to caution
Hiss and whirr escape the machine,
Brake cables stretch. receive the tension,
Now the light shows go go green.

The rubber dumb-bell shapes at bottom
Take up round as wheels revolve,
Changing gear and thumping engine
Gravity to motion solve.

As the silver disc diminishes
And blue haze diesel smoke remains,
I aside my head the gleaming monster
Carrying cargo nostrils inflames.
