Late last century
Another age another time,
Urgent need for speedy travel
Required a special kind of rhyme,
Internal combustion synchopation,
Nebulus music mine.

Klaxon sounds might spook the horse
Locked between the shafts, that blind
Earth bound man no thought of flight,
May flinch at speed that leaves behind,
Even breath may soon come hard,
Now that speed out pace bird kind.

Mans invention to transfer power,
Literal, vertical. and circular,
And with the electric Leclanche jar
Drive mute metal to automat,
And turn iron earth tot fantastic flower.

Building, once of wood and straw,
Overnight a hall of steel and glass,
Lately using plastic raw,
Eventually, for inspectors pass.
Smooth production from giant press jaw,
All fit together from this great mass
Yet tight, and perfect, as glossy jigsaw.

Super Estelle, the greatest yet,
Keen to prove its pedigree,
Onward in sun and darkening wet,
Driven as ball from champions tee,
A contoured, private, executive jet.
