Every Day
Magic window catching eye
As birds and baby rabbits dramatic movements make,
While in straw corner lie
Pink tipped creatures, soothed by heat lamp, bake.

Rainbow fish, like lightening strike,
Flash thorough blue dark sunlit tropical jungle home,
And snails, with buoyant shell case,
Leave track on glass that starts and ends in luscious loam.

A case of lizards and frogs
Statues, balanced, poised glistening over limpid pools,
Terrapins, leather buttons
Made of stone, then instant tumble like circus fools.

Here only sight is stirred.
Open door to clunking off-key ancient bell,
Sound of whistles, scratching noise,
Turn deaf and blind at filling, earthy, warm blooded, smell.

Soon all senses wide awake,
cacophony invades the brain, leaves a mark,
Window only shows inside.
Cross the step to feel the marvel of this Noahs Ark.
