Welcome Home
My Agony
Bluebird
You
Every Day
Would you like a diamond ring
With Kohinor to flash its brilliants.
The band of gold gleaning brand new;
A tiara, like Elizabeths, tall and warm,
Trinity House attracting ever,
encrust with sapphires too?

Earrings with pearls to match the strings
On slender, blue hued porcelain throat,
Atop warm shoulders proud;
Amulets at elbows bend, above the damp
Where glitter silver reflects the sun
Amongst the perfumed cloud?

Perhaps wood beads, or buttons pearl,
Strings of wool and straw
To weave a picture, or covering cloth,
To wear or place on floor?

Bag of Paris, or of stone,
Or wire to make a frame.
To place upon the mantlepiece,
A trophy with your name?

Paints and paper, and empty cards.
For birthday, wedding, or death
Hanging birds, of cardboard made,
That fly at hint of breath?

Tutank hamoun perhaps passed this way
And left a bauble hidden from view,
Just ask and all will be revealed
From depths of cave, a jewel for you!
