Welcome Home

You
Every Day
Certain things in life
Have always been,
And will always be, certain.

Mother always there
With comfort and advice,
To lovingly soothe, certain.

Home, warm and safe,
Haven from all castle,
A place to rest, certain.

The mountains and rivers,
Heather, and daffodils in the vales,
The noble English oak,
All these certain things
Certain.
The dawn chorus,
The natural progress of the seasons,
Midsummer at the Altar Stone,
Awr Fawr, and Solar Flare at standstill.
Journey beyond the outer. edge
Of cold black space,
Certain.

But now, at break of day,
When birds are bright,
And nights darkness disappears,
This empty space looms large,
The certainty no longer certain.

The solidness of Stonehenge,
Of Ayres red rock,
Of Greenlands icy mountains,
Certainty no longer
Certain.

The steadying steadfastness
Of certainty,
Retired.
