Light Of My Life
Darling
I climbed alone the path from Crymmych,
Alone I carefull picked my way
Through long damp grass, and rock strewn field.
Alone, on tiptoes, I carefull picked my way.

The climb was long and stretched my legs,
The climb was up and filled my chest,
This rock strewn day, up up away,
The climb, in cloud, my Everest.

The cumulus was low and damp,
The view was just arms length,
But suddenly I reached the height
Where all was grey and folded down,
Where emptiness filled my sight.

A shining rock became my throne,
For here, within my grasp
The World was mine.

My inward eye saw curving land,
And stretching out from this Sunburst
Line upon golden Line.

Great Circles thrusting out,
Returning home some future time,
Passing under, over, through,
Traversing Summer Winter clime.

And along each beam
As jewels on a womans heart,
Are spaced those Sacred Spaces,
Sites for ever set apart.
