Yeah Yeah
Clirnbing out the bowels of Metro-land
in strange place, Birkenbead,
Oppressive heat in burrow grave,
Taste panic inside of head,
And after suffocating, spiral, ascent,
Spill out gasping, with feet of lead.

Though air is full with panting bus
In patient expectant queue,
This freedom smell soon overcome
As vistas are spied anew
From cool and sheltered place,
Now heart wide open to the view.

Cheerful, chugging, busy boat
Slides alongside sinuously,
And out burst noisy passengers
To continue travel purposely,
As new cargo streams on board
In search of skyline expansively.

Sitting back in armchair comfort
in shade from wind and smoke,
Two giant, familiar, churches stand
Above rail clutching, pointing folk,
And Liver bird, alive at last,
As puffing transportation spoke.

Whooop! Whooop!
Cast off aft,
To follow famous journey,
To Garden Land, Music Town,
Witli all its hurley burley,
To rock and roll the way from Wirral,
Across the River Mersey.
