Enchantment
Yeah Yeah
Often I fly my armchair
Across the star stud sky,
Hands on threadbare arms.

But travel by day I never dare
With suns edges leaping high,
Sweating sensitive palms.

Cool, gentle motion slide
Through quiet calming space,
Wafting as escaping leaf.

Falling soft in climbing glide
From Libra, in slow shutter race,
To Aquarius, times thief.

My four corner metal wheels
Are no match for coasting star,
Leave behind these stagecoach lights.

This place, where lightning peals,
Fluorescent rainbow bar
As snapping Crab Nebula bites.

Spiral worlds of whirlpools,
Blackness all enveloping,
Silence cathedral quiet.

Trapped in fire that cools
To wake to door bell ring,
And travelling salesman riot.
