No one thinks it strange
That when we meet
I hold you tight,
Smell your perfume,
Kiss your cheek,
Listen closely when you speak.

Not strange at all
That my full attention is yours to command,
Your every thought assimilated in my brain
Where your magic makes The Stars to wane.

Yet, when I speak to horse,
To flowers, grass, and trees,
To cats, spiders, snails, and bees,
Others stop and stare.
And when I hug the lovely trees,
And stroke the glorious Standing Stones,
I feel it in my bones
That those other humans,
Those "know nothing" non believers,
Laughing up their sleeves,
Think that I have lost my reason,
Hunting out of Season.
Crazy!

But these Other Forms
Warm to my ministrations,
Exchange their thoughts with mine.
Our separate lives entwine.

Is it then
Perhaps
That I am not completely Human.
Not Animal Bird, nor Tree.
, Am I alone In this enviable state.
Will you,
Possibly,
Join in with me?
