My Love
The rising sun retraces steps
And clouds return to clear,
smiling flowers close down to buds,
While albatross, away at sea,
Rides thunder clouds to hear
The call of another bringing home
The comfort that rids fear.

Motorways reduced to ridge
with horizon true and blue,
And Shuttle. coming swift from stars,
becomes a boomerang for you
To save the rush at hyperstore,
With crashing chromium carriage,
To savour taste, brand new.

The man-made towers of living space
crumble to branch and dust,
But hung with skin, from meat and drink,
Are now a place, though dark and must,
Warm and loving, safe and secure,
And tinge to capture in red ochre
free spirits that in humans trust.

Trees are my friends, and pantry too,
And birds my clock to count the time.
I am alone in Eden now,
No more to follow life of crime,
No war or arrow of destruction thrown.
For to contemplate the growing plants,
Travelling back would be sublime.
