My Love
I am nothing but a speck of dust,
A proton in a smell of must,
I need a telescope to see myself,
And is my nucleons in the best of health?

I am nothing but a tiny atom,
A pin head on a pearly button,
But smaller, smaller, falling fast
Into a void so exceedingly vast
That I need millions of friends like me
To sit upon the cross of a T.

I am nothing, if not a free electron.
Living my life in a noisy klystron,
Bumping and bouncing and pushing my way
From the dark of the night to the warmth of the day.

I ale noth ing but a molecule,
So how can I be classed a fool
When surrounded by this symmetry,
With the odd electron breaking free
.
I am nothing but a high speed quark,
And you can hear the way I talk
When released, at last. from a synchrotron
To start my Journey to the back of beyond.

I am nothing but a nuclear fission,
Searching endlessly for my mission,
Diversity and unity I've seen.
Am I doomed to wander in between?
