Thirty Days ...
Turn my fingers into feathers
And I will fly away,
My feet, once tied to earth,
Would balance out my sway.
I'd reach the heights above the clouds,
Then touch the salt sea spray.

The wind would be my honest friend,
The sky my pure delight,
From dawn to dusk I'd slip and slide
And perform quite like a kite,
Then night would come as velvet sleek
To make my muscles light.

But still I'd fly my hearts desire
Until my mind was numb,
Until the thought my mass too great
An end to flight must come.
