Time Lock
Peace
Keep On Running
Hear This
Finally
Instead of reaching for the moon.
And Jupiter and Mars,
And crossing time and space
And reaching for the stars,
Instead of making war not peace,
Of suicide not life,
Instead of juggernauts of death
Sue for love, not strife,
Instead of burning all the oil
Our feet could tread the way,
Instead of coal to keep us warm
Dry wood collected every day,
Instead of bricks and pressed out tiles,
Instead of mortar, stretching giles,
Instead of waste in all our haste,
Instead of frontiers, stiles.

Instead of wanting to be first.
First to start, first to end,
First to fly, first to send.
A craven Image to the void,
First to appear on celluloid.

Instead of wanting to be first
I'd join the trees and rain soaked grass.
The languid rivers in the vales,
The crystal streams in mountain pass,
The animals in pastures green,
The fishes golden in silver scene.
I would slow the rushing clock
And count the years as seconds,
Metamorphose in to Rock,
Welcome Ice Age that beckons.

I would change this life so fast,
And, just for once, be the first,
To be a Megalith so vast.
To solve Lifes equation and end my thirst!
