Do You...
Darling
When Hitler sent his secret weapon
To break our home and kill my Dad
We straggled round to Briset Road
For food and rest, extremely sad.

We were sleeping in the classrooms
And sobbing in our pillows,
That night we had no jamas
And wore our socks to warm our toes.

And now once more I come to Briset
My mission to bring the Royal Mail,
I've served my Queen, travelled the World,
And hope one day to tell my tale.

This warm and pleasant place
Where Alex Wensley keeps his store,
And Mrs.Thorne types and makes her lists,
Where Doreen Rackley sweeps the floor
And Mrs. Bentley rules the roost,
But smiles a friendly face,
Where learning is a happiness,
Where children are our saving grace.
