How to lose weightHow to lose weight What do you mean, strong enough? |
I originally thought that just by telling people how they can lose weight they would see the light. That was rather presumptious of me.
When talking to friends and colleages they all seemed interested in losing weight, but no one wanted to actually do it. I got used to the
idea that it's too hard for most people. It's simple, but hard!
You need to cut the carbs out of your diet as much as possible and up the protein. It also helps if you progressively lift heavier weights with a full range of body movement. There, I said it, but actually doing it is too hard. There are other ways of losing weight. You could chop your leg off. That's very effective. You may laugh at that, but there are plenty of people who damage their bodies by having gastric bands fitted surgically, or a more destructive method of chopping the fat out of their bodies with liposuction. Dieting can be hard to do but it is possible to lose almost exclusively body fat while retaining muscle strength. Search this article for the velocity diet. The real trick with losing weight is to avoid the release of Insulin. If you eat carbs, then unless you burn them immediately, your blood sugar will rise, Insulin will be released and your body then stores fat. That's how the fat gets there in the first place. And your body has a minimum protein requirement which if you don't get, will make you so hungry that you WILL eat more. It's not about will-power, it's about eating the right thing. You need about 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight. Measure that out and you might be surprised at how little protein you are eating right now. Cut the carbs and you won't store fat. Up the protein and you won't get hungry. I did the velocity diet and never got hungry but lost 36 pounds in 28 days, and was stronger at the end than the beginning. I've walked the walk, and it did my head in. The book that explained it all to me was a long very dry but full of information and references book by Gary Taubes. |
