Tomorrow
The Moon
Comes and goes,
The Day
Stretched long at Noon,
And short in Winter,
Soon underlines
The declines of Strictest Rhythm.

The Heavens
Tumble in their inexorable,
Though ever slowing, speeding, circuit.
Comets bright The Sky
In lengthening, shortening, loops.
Humans, ensnared in hoops,
Return, to This Point
Placed on tightening spiral,
Where even Death may not be final

Candles may light The Darkness,
Sand flows within its glass dumb-bell,
Tides turn and wash the shore,
Now, at last,
Clock
The Real Time can tell!
Heart-beats with their change of rate,
Glaciers that realise their lasting fate,
But this Tick Tock,
This Time Lock,
Will last Forever,
Singing its Star Bright sound,
Printing its measured Bound
More regular than Atomic Fusion,
An end at last to the confusion
"How long the length of Day"?
