In The beginning
When the Sirens call
And sailors flock to see the view,
The tendril fog, provocative,
Comes and goes,
And offers glimpses few.

The half fish maidens,
Matelotes imaginings, false or true,
Sing their magnetic song,
Display their charms anew.

These creatures,
Beauty of both worlds,
Are figments of a lonely life
Where crewmen, berefit of wife,
See for real where only dreams remain.

This impossible woman,
Impossible fish,
Would drown a man with love.

But for me, this briefest breath of passion,
This breathless brief affair,
Would need a powerfull shove,
For I would wish to hold her close,
Trace her curious form,
And I would die, expire in sighs,
Die a thousand deaths,
When I reach her thighs.
