February 8Sinfin canal bridges. There are only a few odd things about the road at the bridges over the canal in Sinfin/Stenson Fields area. The main thing to start with is that because it is so narrow, you have to read the road and be aware of the width restrictions, and watch out for pedestrians too. It's not really that difficult. I reckon it's because of the unusual surroundings and so the driver is either not watching what they should, or is watching everything, and it becomes difficult for them to filter out the important parts. Of course, if you are scanning correctly, and dealing with your hazards, potential or otherwise, properly, then you will have enough time to work out the right things to do! I am sure I will come back to this again, and will probably put on some anecdotes about it too, in the appropriate place. |
