MisterMMM.com: Taking the driving test - part 1

February 22

You will get nervous for the driving test. Even if you know all about it, and understand what will happen: you will get nervous!

There are various questions that drivers ask about the test:

  • Will I be able to use your car?
  • Will we have a warm up lesson before?
  • What time do we have to get there?
  • Which manouver will I get?
  • and so on....
Generally I wait until they have asked all their questions, and then tell them that it should be just like a normal driving lesson, except the examiner will sit in the passenger seat and give instructions, and I will sit behind them so that the examiner can keep an eye on me!

The only other thing is that they must have the two parts of their licence with them.

Of course, this means that they have been trained to drive properly, have been primed about how the test works, know the answers to the Show Me, Tell Me, questions, and can read a numberplate at 20 metres or so!

Oh yeah, just in case you ask: you can't book your driving test until you have passed your theory test!
