January 22Turning right at the 5-way roundabout on Pride Park! Coming from the station end and turning right, taking the 3rd exit to the London Road. The immediate approach to the roundabout splits from 1 into 2 lanes, so check your mirrors and get in the right-hand lane. Check your mirrors again and indicate right, roll onto the roundabout in your gap and keep in the right-hand lane. The driver behind, accelerates to catch up and then shadows you around the roundabout, in the left lane. You attempt to speed up and slow down, so as not to be alongside them. They refuse to make eye-contact, but they assiduously keep alongside you. After the second exit, this driver is still alongside and you carefully exit the roundabout after checking your mirrors and indicating, and even though this other driver won't look at you, they follow you round. The 2 lanes off the roundabout then start to merge into 1 lane. The driver on your left has still not paid any heed to you, so you beep the horn to get their attention. The driver at this point instantly looks you in the eye and mouths, "you are in the wrong lane". I won't tell you what to mouth back, but at the next roundabout on the London Road, he turns left from the right-hand lane. |
